It feel good to know that someone is finding my work useful. Thx for your comments.

There are lot of tutorials available when we search, but the WS technology is fast evolving and so, many of them are irrelevant sometimes. There are some confusing things like doc type and encoding but in actual practice we mostly use document/literal. You could see the tutorials at w3schools.com they are simple and easy to follow.
To interpret the WSDL files you can import them into an IDE like eclipse and try to understand the different sections.

hey this is a matter of choice buddy. It depends upon our needs.
I feel comfortable with ubuntu since i started with debain based distros. I you are from windows background then you can use either of them or both (if you like). And finally I should mention this, RedHat is the largest contributor to the linux kernel and i do not know whether ubuntu did something similar and redhat is used in many industries but ubuntu is just catching up. Ubuntu is free as in beer, but redhat needs a license.

You are getting this because you are not in the dip group. you can solve this in two ways.
1. please add yourself to "dip" group
2. run this with elevated privileges ( prefix the command with "sudo ")

Very interesting and easy+simply explained!!

Thank you very much. I'll try with this example in my ubuntu, and later I'll try with some more complicated one. I must make a simple command-line Web Service client for a Solaris box, and before that, I'll try to play and learn with ubuntu and your example. The thing is... will I be able to interpret another different wsdl file? I don't know much yet about web services. Do you know some easy tutorial to interpret wsdl files?

Thanks again,
